A few character designs developed from observational sketches. I've really enjoyed getting back into the ol' pencil sketching. Finishing a few simple line drawings is extrememely satisfying.

- Freelance animator, illustrator and concept artist. I have most recently worked as animator and clean-up artist on Titeuf, produced by Pathe films. Previous to this I worked on Sylvain Chomet's recent 2D feature, “The Illusionist” and at Red Kite studios in Edinburgh. I have had 3-4 years experience of teaching in both primary and higher education, as module leader and tutor. Graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee with a BDes (Hons) in Animation and Electronic Media, and went onto gain an Msc in Electronic Imaging. I am passionate, creative and determined. I have a strong drive to push all aspects of my creative abilities and to achieve the best. Great drawings of people kyla - full of so much character and story.
I love it how the large lady carrying the bottled water is slightly hunched to fit into the frame and her funny expression : )
Hello Rowan! How are you? Good to hear from you. Thanks for posting. I've been doing more illustration recently which has pushed me into doing more character design. I needed to boost my folio. Nick and I were planning to come to London to do a job search so hopefully catch up soon! x
