Have started a life-drawing class which is something I haven't done for a long time.  We had a great class.  The class was run by a felllow animator and we had a wonderful model who must have had bones of steel-the poses were fantastic.

It was a really enjoyable 2 hours, concentrating on gestural drawing.  A decent chunk of the class was spent on 1-2 minute poses which is something I always enjoy.  Whenever I've been working on any figure drawing recently I've focused on tone rather than line so it's great to really focus upon linear drawing skills.

These are 5 and 10 minute sketches...

Character sketches

These were a quick couple of sketches I did over lunch.  A good reminder of how much I've missed drawing and creating character!  Hope to update more and throughout the week with 28 Drawings entries-

Day 12: 28 Drawings...This Is How Men Cook

Nick making tea.  Documented by me...WORD-FOR-WORD

This was my first post for the 28Drawings challenge.  Worf.

The first post of the year!

My goodness.  This is the first post of the year.  From the end of last year I was really bowled over with getting a fresh showreel together.  I've shifted home from Dundee to Dublin-for the moment!  So haven't really had the time to keep up regular posts.  But I have been taking part in the 28 Drawings Later Challenge-a Glasgow based project which has really boomed this year.  An online drawing challenge-to post a drawing for every day in February.  This has really helped to shift my brain into drawing thinking mode again.  So I shall post what I have entered and keep things updated.
I'll also add the link for all those interested in taking a look at the 28 Drawings site.28 Drawings Later
